NS Working Hands Intensive is formulated synergistically with natural active ingredients and without petroleum-based ingredients. NS Protective Hand Cream is a daily hand cream which protects and restores normal, dry or sensitive hands. NS Working Hands Intensive is an Intensive treatment that repairs cracked, calloused or damaged hands and split fingers.

NS Protective Hand Cream is a lighter cream and has 3% dimethicone to create a protective barrier to protect sensitive skin. It locks-in moisture and locks-out irritants and is therefore more suited to people who experience skin irritation such as dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis. Natural actives will also restore problem skin. NS Protective Hand Cream is for people whose hands are irritated by the environment

NS Working Hands Intensive is a thicker, intensive cream. It also contains dimethicone for barrier protection but has more actives for helping to repair extremely dry, damaged hands and split fingers. NS Working Hands is for people whose hands work in harsh environments.

 Phenoxyethanol is an ingredient used to ensure that there is a robust preservative system at work in our NS products. Phenoxyethanol ensures that no bacteria, fungus or mould gets into our products, which can in turn and negatively affect your skin. It is critical that our products are 100% safe for you to use and so an effective preservative system is essential, especially for NS products because they contain a high percentage of highly active ingredients.  Phenoxyethanol is used at low levels in our products (it is only ever used at less than 1%). Some preservatives need to be used at higher levels, which can adversely affect the skin, while some natural preservative systems can be prohibitively expensive, which would make our products unaffordable. Plunkett’s uses Phenoxyethanol in NS products to achieve an effective and affordable preservative system, so that our products have a 3-year shelf life, and do not require refrigeration.
